Quality Quinn is an author, international literacy consultant, and educational aggregator whose company serves school districts, state departments of education, foundations, educational publishers and high-tech companies.

 

Ms. Quinn has received numerous awards as an outstanding educator from various districts throughout the United States for her work with beginning reading and assessment systems.  She has provided a variety of professional development services for the Department of Defense Education Agency throughout Europe, as well as private and public school districts here in the States.  Currently, she is associated with the extremely successful Texas Reading Initiative that has resulted in minority students attaining some of the highest gains in reading improvement in the country.

 

As a lecturer for Phi Delta Kappa and ASCD, she is touring and speaking in districts that are aggressively reconciling their curriculum to state standards and assessment for the purpose of improving reading achievement for all students, particularly the older, struggling reader.

 

At home in Austin, Texas, Ms. Quinn serves as President of the Austin Public Library Foundation, Youth and Technology Director for the 2006 World Congress of Information Technology.  She is also an advisory member of The Austin Project and she is heading up a new bilingual initiative between Mexico and the U.S. through her own non-profit organization, Project EarlyWord.   Most recently, she has served as an educational consultant to Scholastic, Harcourt, Edusoft, Metametrics, Bingo Books and LeapFrog SchoolHouse.  She is also in the process of becoming an Adjunct Professor at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT.
